Position Overview: This person will be responsible for implementing, monitoring and maintaining safety policies and procedures within the Cleveland facilities in order to foster a safe working environment and culture for all employees.
Essential Job Functions:
Qualifications:
Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety or a related field required; Safety Related Certifications (BCSP, OSHA 10/30, COSS, etc) a plus
Experience: 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment as a safety professional; Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations; Ability to work with all levels of employees; Bi-lingual/Multi-lingual is a plus

Position Overview: This person will be responsible for implementing, monitoring and maintaining safety policies and procedures within the Cleveland facilities in order to foster a safe working environment and culture for all employees.
Essential Job Functions:
- Implement and maintain company safety rules, policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines through coordination with Corporate Safety Manager.
- Collaborate with Corporate Safety Manager to monitor compliance and identify safety issues. Intervene in case of unsafe activities or operations within the workplace; advise on provisions and recommended actions to minimize safety risks.
- Evaluate, monitor, and manage local safety-related incidents. Direct safety-related incident inquiry and investigation procedures and propose corrective actions. Maintain documentation records and report safety-related incident statistics.
- Facilitate Safety Committee; conduct monthly meetings to review safety-related incidents. Conduct regular safety-walks through workplace to identify situations that are unsafe and/or hazardous in nature and issue recommended corrective measures required to reduce incident risks.
- Organize and conduct required training plans and certification training for all partners. Monitor safety measures to determine need for further training on safety.
- Conduct new employee safety orientation (maintain contact with new employees during first weeks of employment).
- Monitor and facilitate training of proper usage of tools and equipment, i.e. tow motors and lifts, cranes, etc. Document and maintain all related training records and licenses.
- Monitor and facilitate inspections of all apparatus, i.e. ladders, straps, chains, fall protection, etc. Document and maintain all related inspection records.
- Evaluate machine guarding on all machines and recommend necessary changes
- Perform Job Hazard/ Job Safety Analyses and recommend implementations to mitigate risks
- Develop and Implement Standard Operating Procedures for work centers
- Research and stay current with regulatory requirements (OSHA, BWC, EPA, etc.) and best practices to minimize risks in these areas to the organization. Offer recommendations to Corporate Safety Manager
- Assist in safety audits and follow up on any action items.
- Other duties as assigned.
