Position Overview:  Responsible to provide support to the Operations Team to maintain and improve the quality, safety, and efficiency using past and present education and work experience. This will be achieved through introducing new products optimized for production, improving manufacturability of existing products, and providing guidance of any manufacturing needs for our workers.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Responsible to work with PM and Integration Supervisor to support the realization of new products samples. Ensure that the sample process runs smoothly, and the samples are completed on time while meeting NSA quality standards.
  • Responsible for implementing new products in production to be ready for manufacturing (including Single Piece Flow workload for every person)
  • Work with the Plant Trainers through the Integration Supervisor, Production Supervisors, and Area Managers to provide training of new products when introduced to production while maintaining a good quality and efficiency.
  • Regarding production personnel, seek and develop new methods and approaches and to provide input on equipment needs and opportunities that lead to job enhancement and results improvements.
  • Be the lead person to manage the R&D requests forms from production to R&D and their correct implementation
  • Communicate with the Sr Director of Manufacturing on results and issues on a regular basis. Safety: Ensure that your work areas are neat and orderly to promote a safe work environment. You must follow ALL NSA Safety and Housekeeping Policies (including but not limited to: Safety glasses, music, food and drink, etc.).  You are responsible for your operators operating the equipment in a safe manner according to trained on procedures.  You are responsible for reporting ANYTHING that appears unsafe in your opinion and have the authority to shut down ANY task/operation that you feel may be unsafe.
  • May be asked to help R& D with specific projects or tasks based on company needs.
Non-Essential Job Functions:
  • Work as a team to accomplish production and manufacturing goals.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Manufacturing
Training:  Specific NSA manufacturing processes and standards offered through the Operations Trainee Program.
Qualifications:
  • Education & Certifications: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience: 3 years in a manufacturing environment preferred

Physical Requirements:  Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time. Frequent walking throughout production environment as needed.
Working Conditions: Open concept office, manufacturing environment with constant background noise.
