Position Overview: This person will be responsible for the coordination/preparation of all outgoing shipments and receiving. They will assist in ensuring that the warehouse system flows smoothly and will be trained in all warehouse functions.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Receive and check all deliveries to ensure all inbound material meets quality standards
  • Process inventory which includes receiving, transfers, labelling and discrepancies
  • Verify and maintain packing slips
  • Record and check quantity / quality of material / raw materials received
  • Record received materials into inventory system with proper handling of documentation materials
  • Timely and accurate entry of all data into computer system
  • Assist with delivery of received material internally to proper department/user
  • Maintain a safe working environment according to department procedures and state and federal regulations
  • Ensuring that all communication between departments is timely and proficient
  • Double check the items you are shipping: labels, packaging, first item inspection stickers, and the general appearance of the items
  • Prepare daily out-going shipments accurately and efficiently.
  • Inventory control processes
  • Ensure orders ship on or before the promise date, alerting leadership if promised orders are not in the shipping area by 2PM each day.
  • Keep shipping/receiving area is organized, neat, and efficient
  • Perform other tasks as needed

Experience/Qualifications:
  • Two years of shipping and receiving experience preferred.
  • Computer proficient (Microsoft Office, shipping software is a plus).
  • Knowledge of shipping requirements, including documentation and customs procedures as well as packaging and labeling.

Employment Type: Full Time, Monday-Friday, 7:30-4:00 p.m.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, bend, reach, and walk for duration of shift. Must be able to comfortably lift up to 40 pounds repetitively. Must be willing to be trained on Joey and Forklifts.
Working Conditions: Must be able to work in a typical warehouse environment in a wide range of temperatures.
