Position Overview: To help produce sample garments required by R&D Department in the most efficient way and timely manner while meeting NSA/customer quality requirements. Maintain open communication between Production and R&D departments regarding the sample making process

Essential Job Functions:
  • Manufacture all samples required to be made in the sample team according to the deadline set by R&D team, Manufacturing Manager Assistant, and Operations Support Associate.
  • Produce already established products following the process existing  in NSA TSS teams
  • Find the most efficient way to produce new samples while maintaining excellent quality and meeting customer’s expectations
  • Follow the work instructions created by R&D to complete a garment then provide feedback to  improve WI with new findings from the assembly process.
  • Give feedback to R&D and manufacturing on potential issues as far as patterns, construction, quality, and functionality. Make suggestions for potential improvement
  • Use your knowledge/pace  acquired in production to help establish the amount of time it takes to make a garment to be able to keep NSA competitive
  • Help launch the new products in production teams when samples go into production. Help the TSS trainer learn all new products to be able to help with the training in teams
  • Work with the Operations Department to make sure that all existing equipment is in perfect working conditions. If necessary, make suggestions of new equipment needed for better processes.
  • Make recommendations on which work center the new product fits best in order to follow the SPF process.

Non-Essential Job Functions:
  • Participate in monthly sample meetings. Be able to give feedback when required
  • Where needed, assist team members in resolving issues that might arise with the construction of new items
  • In emergencies, work with clusters as needed to ensure teams meet customer requirements.
  • With team members seek and develop new methods and approaches and provide input to others on equipment needs and opportunities to lead to job enhancement and results improvements.
  • Perform other tasks as required.

Training: Provided on the job. Will need to supplement product/process knowledge where appropriate
Qualifications:
  • Education & Certifications: High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing facility (similar in size and scope to   NSA) preferred

Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit or stand for duration of day, frequent walking

Working Conditions: Temperature-regulated plant environment, consistent background noise and vibrations from movement of sewing machines
