National Safety Apparel, located in Chicago, IL is looking for students pursuing degrees in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or Reporting / Analytics with an interest in Inventory Management & Logistics. Our interns will have the opportunity to work with operators, maintenance, supervisors, and engineers. While the focus is on inventory data and analysis there are opportunities to gain knowledge and practical experience in a wide range of functions in each department.

Responsibilities:
- Material Master Data Development / Clean-up
- Design for Analytics associated with Inventory Management
- Assist with strategy development & design for an Enterprise Inventory Management organization
- Currently pursuing degrees in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Reporting / Analytics or other similar disciplines with an interest in Inventory Management & Logistics.
- Strong Excel and database skills. SQL experience a plus.
- Exposure to Inventory Management strategies and philosophies
- Ability to work within both an office and warehouse environment
- Overall GPA 3.0 or better
- Strong data, analytics, database and spreadsheet skills – the ability to work through considerable amounts of data with a focus on standardization, quality and completeness
- Communications skills – need to be able to speak to data clearly and convey / translate what data means in business language
- Understanding of procurement processes and the roles data plays
