Inventory Control Specialist

Position Overview: To manage inventories of raw materials, finish goods, and components utilizing the business software and other system tools as required. This position supports Chicago operations by maintaining organization, reporting issues, and collaborating with team members to ensure timely and error-free order delivery.
Essential Job Functions:
· Manage the inventory various items consisting of raw materials, finished goods, and components utilizing the TCM system.
· Accurately pick, pack, and ship customer orders in accordance with order specifications, quality standards, and delivery deadlines.
· Performing cycle counts as needed to maintain inventory accuracy.
· Manage the space, bin locations, and overall organization/cleanliness of all warehouse areas.
· Identify and report inventory discrepancies, damaged product, or quality issues to supervisors (inventory and supply chain) in a timely manner.
· Working with the production team on gathering materials needed for upcoming orders.
· Working with the receiving team to make sure product is properly put away.
· Working with shipping team to make sure orders are shipped in a timely and accurate manner.
· Meet productivity, accuracy, and performance standards while maintaining attention to detail.
· Follow established safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
· Perform additional warehouse or operational duties as assigned to support business needs.
Training: Provided on the job and may be supplemented with external, local, or out-of-town training. Training to include software, PIV, and Aerial Lift.
Qualifications:
Education & Certifications: High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience: 1 year of office administration/inventory management experience
Key Competencies: Persistence (wants it done, and wants it done right), positive attitude, dependable, analytical thinking, problem solving, good communication skills, and functional computer skills (email, logs/tracking)
Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for duration of shift, Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Working Conditions: Manufacturing and Warehouse environment, consistent background machine noise.
