Position Overview: Direct responsibility for the management of all production teams (1st shift) in your “Area”.  The GOAL of this position is to meet Operation Goals of Output and Efficiency while at the same time supporting the needs of the Plant Manager.  In order to be successful the employee must be a tremendous leader that is grounded in the principles of Lean manufacturing, problem solving, able to lead the line leaders, and be an excellent people person.
Essential Job Functions:
Efficiency (Goal is 95% Raw without Training)
  • Efficiency is tracked and reported weekly to senior management
  • Starts with tracking individual team efficiencies, monitoring progress, and identifying causes
  • Implement time saving process improvements throughout the NSA manufacturing plant
  • Mistake prevention by having clear work instructions
Output / Leadtime
  • Output is tracked and reported weekly to senior management
  • Responsible for managing work flow within the teams so orders can be prioritized appropriately.
  • Ensure that appropriate training/cross training is provided to team members
Manage Line Leads
  • Lead them in problem solving, managing their operators, and coaching to excel and care.
Quality
  • Excellent quality and meeting customer expectations is a requirement.  Instilling consistent manufacturing techniques to provide high quality seams and garments
Safety
  • Insist that areas follow NSA rules and guidelines for Safety and Housekeeping
Record Keeping
  • E-Production revisions and approvals
  • ISO Documentation is communicated and properly posted in teams
Training: Provided on the job

Qualifications:
Education & Certifications: Bachelor Degree with a focus on textile/apparel management preferred or equivalent work experience
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of work in an apparel manufacturing facility managing production and/or quality preferred
Language: Bilingual - English/Spanish, preferred
